Correspondents of RFE/RL report that Sergey Gorbenko - former Vice Governor of Pavlodar Oblast is still in jail. He is accused of illegal privatization of state owned depots in Pavlodar. The depots have been privatized by local private company "Ramat".

Another former Vice Governor of Pavlodar Oblast Alexander Riumkin is in hospital. He started having heart problems after having been interrogated by local police. Mr. Gorbenko has started hunger strike earlier last week. He says that all the accusations put forward against him are politically motivated. Both persons have lost their jobs after their boss Ghalymzhan Zhaqiyanov was sacked from the position of Pavlodar Oblast's governor by Presidential Decree in mid-November.
